Marcus was born and raised in Pierre, South Dakota before graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 2017. After graduation, Marcus continued his education and soccer career at the University of St. Thomas – Minnesota. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and minors in Legal Studies and Theology. Marcus was ready to return to South Dakota for law school attending the University of South Dakota School of Law.
While in law school, Marcus refined his writing skills by participating on the South Dakota Law Review and took advantage of many leadership opportunities, serving as the president of the South Dakota Federalist Society, Managing Editor for the South Dakota Law Review, and External Outreach Officer for Rod & Gun Club.
