The Pennington County Bar awarded Talbot J. Wieczorek, a managing partner specializing in business law, real estate and regulatory law, the 2020 Pennington County Bar Association Lawyer of the Year Award during its December 2021 meeting. The award is given to an attorney in recognition of integrity, leadership and exemplary legal service to his or her clients, the community and the bar. In addition to practicing law, Talbot has served on the boards of a number of local groups, such as the Western South Dakota Red Cross, Rapid City Chamber of Commerce, Black Hills Symphony, while serving on State Bar Committees and currently serves as a Meade County Commissioner.
Talbot has been with the firm for 30 years starting one week after graduating from law school. Along the way he and his wife Kelli have raised five children. In accepting the award he noted “I have been a lucky man. I have only been able to accomplish what I have by being supported by exceptional attorneys and professional staff and a loving, supportive family.”
