Keely grew up in western North Dakota, where she developed a passion for rodeo and the outdoors. After graduating high school, she attended Black Hills State University (BHSU), where she majored in political science and competed with the BHSU rodeo team. Following graduation at BHSU, Keely received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Nebraska College of Law, graduating with distinction.
While in law school, Keely received various awards, including Order of the Barristers, "Best Brief" in the Thomas Stinson Allen Moot Court Competition, the Schmid Honors Scholarship awarded for high academic achievement, and the Grether Moot Court Competition Reserve Champion. She competed on the National Trial and Moot Court Teams, served as a teaching assistant for Professor Schmidt's trial advocacy class, and worked as a student attorney in Nebraska’s criminal clinic prosecuting criminal cases.
Keely interned for GPNA during law school. She then joined the firm full-time after completing her clerkship with the South Dakota Supreme Court. In her spare time, Keely enjoys ranching with her family, pheasant hunting with her dad, hiking with her rescue dog Kane, and traveling internationally.
